Wyoming Ice 2000 Field Experiment
11 April - 15 May, 16 October - 30 November 2000
Laramie, Wyoming

Events for each day during the field project can be viewed by clicking on the calendar box for the day.

Weather data and flight photographs can be found via this link.

The status of the WCR data can be viewed here (password protected).

The WCR during the flights on November 9 and 11 collected data using a "venetian-blind" lens as a beam-splitter (side-pointing and 42 deg back-pointing). Photos of the lens installation can be seen here.

As part of a joint project with the University of Massachusetts, a dual-frequency (20.6/31.6 GHz) radiometer system under development for use on the Wyoming KingAir research aircraft was tested on the ground from October 22 until December 22. Data with the vertically pointing radiometers and overflying KingAir aircraft were collected. First, preliminary results from these data are shown here.

WCR calibration constants for the experiment are posted here and additional information about calibration can be found in the status report (password required).
